Fitness, transfer rubbish and Hossam Ghaly

Admittedly, some of this report has to be taken with a pinch of salt as much of the information was in the Daily Mail- a paper so unreliable it could be owned and distributed by Microsoft.

It is true that Ramos’ first training session in charge was a double[1]. According to the Daily Mail his first matter of concern is Tottenham’s fitness[2] since we have conceded 5 times in the 90th minute since the beginning of the season. This is heart-warming as even Martin Jol fans had been concerned with the team’s fitness and had targeted it as a weakness in our game. Having a dedicated fitness coach his number 2 shows just how obsessed Juande is on the subject.

Any transfer rumours out there seem to have been started by minor, unreliable news sources and weBlogs and can be discounted for now. The stories are picked up and used as sources by useless news hacks trying to hold on to their badly paid jobs in order to avoid real work.

What does seem to be real news is that Tottenham will be pursued for ‘tapping up’ Juande Ramos. I seem to recall some clause, though, about exemption about staff/players in the final year of a contract, which Ramos was.

A subject brought up by Harry Hotspur was Hossam Ghaly. The new management team creates a second chance for the man who played on in a game after getting three teeth kicked out of his head. Fans have made too much of his display with his shirt, in my mind. There have been many times when I have felt like doing the same with mine, especially listening to reports of actions of the board.
